I dunno if the uni here really tastes like 大陸熊貓牌万能膠 or not, but the fresh & package uni in Vancouver doesn't taste (& smell) very good, especially after I have tasted the fresh ones in Hokkaido... maybe if you have a chance you should try the ones in Japan, hope your impression will change haha

Sometimes I see them in izumi ya, but they are seasonal.
