Very good analysis, jiujiujiu. I totally agree with you. I like 龍景軒 the most - excellent dim sum (esp egg tarts ), easy to find parking and not too crowded. I like Kirin too, both Cambie and Richmond one, but as you said, I hate making reservation and still have to wait. And you can't even get a table with reservation. 海港 is OK, but hard to find parking and too crowded. My grandparents don't like it though, I guess cuz the dim sum are not as traditional.
敘香園 & 新瑞華 are over-rated. I haven't been to those restaurants for years.
I don't like the service in 海港...and I also saw lots of mainland chinese to have king crab at lunch time. Amazing!
Btw, starlight Kirin is good...both service, and food...and wait time... (don't need to wait much).
Also for dim sum...I like "sun yung gay"...not much varieties but quality is decent. service is good and fast!
A bunch of them left to set up a new restaurant at West Broadway. It will be open in Dec.

I just tried the newly opened restaurant on 777 broadway last week. 前身為東海/海富/北京大酒樓. food doesn't taste bad, but oil dripping from some dim sum literally (I'm honestly not exaggerating)....Nice renovation though.
