Hey guys,

I wanna buy a gaming chair for my bf this Christmas but I have no idea which one to get and where I can get them in the Lower Mainland.  I was gonna buy one online but the problem is, there are SO MANY to choose from and since I can't sit in 'em, I have no idea which one would be best.

Do any of you own one or perhaps know enough about them to recommend a couple to me?  I assume he'll be using it most with his PS3 so HDMI compatibility is a must. (And no, I'm not looking for bean bag chairs...the serious gamer ones with the speakers, subs and vibration)  And is a "rocker" better?  I thought it would be kind of annoying because it might force you to lean back all the time...

I rather get a Sparco or Recaro + the G27 wheel.. only if the chair would do force-feedback... It's time for someone to include a full roll-cage, a Sparco seat, some real wheel, stick, lots of leather for the game console!!

You won't get the cool surround sound experience then!  I'm debating between PM450-WR and one of the X Rockers...are arm rests necessary??

2 AAAs lasts you about 24 - 48 hrs. lol Can't you get an AC adaptor or sthg for it though?

BUT THE GAMING CHAIRS are SO COOL!! and at least he can bring it to HK when he moves back...

i'm thinking of getting the x rocker pro 2009..looks so luxuriously comfy

Wireless uses batteries, I couldn't imagine how much power it can give out. I would stay with wired version.

Get a 2 seater sofa and it's all you need.

As for my boyfriend, he plays video games will sitting on the floor and it's just really bad for his back imo. lol I was gonna get a sofa cuz then we'd at least be able to snuggle and watch movies on that thing but he's got so much stuff in his room, it just won't fit...AND did you know sofas (even ones from IKEA) are $500+!? omg..

anyhow, I was planning to get one of the X Rocker gaming chairs.  Do you recommend wireless?

As a girl, do not buy gaming gear for guys! This is like implying that your bf can ignore you over video game.

My company used to carry the Pyramat chair, but they are like $200+ each. They sounded damn good with the XB360. I didn't like it that much because I am the only one who could enjoy it.

If I am a guy, and I am into gaming, I will rather invest in a decent quality receiver and some speakers (Klispch are great). So that I can watch TV or game with my gf.
