I am losing respect to you. Does the dignity of being a Chinese mean anything to you?

China is lagging behind most of western countries both economically and politically. It is a fact and there are historic reasons for it.

It is more important to make a contribution to build a better China as a Chinese.

I hate to repeat myself, but tell me what dignity I can find as a Chinese when the Mainland ignores all sorts of basic human rights, and its citizens continue to pump out poisonous foods, toys, and commodities of all sorts in pursue of their own share of filthy lucre?

Furthermore, it puzzles me to no ends when someone repeatedly claims that a person of Chinese descent should contribute to build a better China when they are living outside of China themselves. If you mean what you say, then what the heck are you doing here in Canada?

I think the correct word to describe this is "hypocrite". (Oh actually, I think the proper LYK term is "moron" )

So, would you mind to explain why did you say I speak shxt when I told people I am proud of my Chinese root and there is a 百年心結 that the mainland Chinese has been hiding deep in their heart -中國被外族侵略，被人侵略和欺負超過一百年; 中國人被稱為東亞病夫; 海外華人遭人歧視被稱為“中國豬”。China doesn’t even have a say on the international stage 30 years ago. The mainland Chinese have to suffer and wait for over hundred years and now they finally can proudly proclaim – “我們中國人終於可以站起來了.”

So should a person be proud of his ethnic root depends on whether his native country has the same level of achievement economically and politically as the leading western countries such as Canada, US and Britain? If he is from Norway, it is cool and he can be proud of his root because Norway is a wealthy and free country. If he is from Iran, he is doomed that he should not be proud of his root because Iran is poor and ruled under dictatorship. Is this your stand according to what you said?

Why I am here in Canada? It is because I am lucky enough to live in the TODAY Canada but not the Canada 130 years ago when the Chinese did not even have a chance to because one of the Canadian. And also because of our ancestors who sacrificed their lives to fight for Canada in World War II when the Chinese were treated as second class citizen, the Chinese finally won the full citizenship in 1947.

Just because of the contribution and sacrifices our ancestors had made, I have a chance to live in a wealthy and free country.
