That's good to know. Cuz last year when I went, my coworker told me to exchange it here to, as they said the rate is not as good there. But I bought some extra USD to exchange there incase not enuf. I guess I know now, the next time I go I will do the exchange there. Thanks

an experienced banker told me, Canadian banks' spread is the highest in the world, because big 5 banks (or 6? don't know) have dominated the market so other countries are always exchange better than here... just to make sure you have some small local currency with you (for taxi to hotel, etc.), and do the most foreign exchange in other countries.

well... if you have AE card, Gold or Platinum visa/mastercard, or has service package with your bank, it's free, otherwise is 2 or 2.5% or something, you better check with your bank. I only know they don't charge you if you cannot finish them and deposit back to your bank account.
