106km is not even fast on barnet.... i've driven on barnet highway at 200km+
i always see cops driving on the opposite side on barnet.... but my average speed driving around there is always 130-140. I've never had a cop do U-Turn....
just dispute it. Cops are train to judge car's speed from a stand still or in the same lane, not from opposite lane.
another defense is what someone said above, tell him to proof that you are the one that he was trying to catch from the opposite lane without seeing your license plate. and go get some research done, like how many exact same model and same color car is in vancouver and throw it out on court.

my boyfriend was driving 53 or 54 kph in richmond at 2 something AM
the a cop appeared and followed him for about 2 - 3 minutes
when he made a left turn the cop caught him immediately
and said he was driving 60 in a 50 zone
my boyfriend was driving max 55 all along and he told the police about this
and that guy said "you are driving 60"
my boyfriend was like... "are you questioning the honda factory speedometre??"
and the police said "YES"
Just go dispute it. If you go dispute you still have a chance of the cop no showing up. If you don't dispute then no chance of getting rid this charge.
how generic is your car? IE Acura, Honda, Toyos
at any given time you can see 2-3 on the road can even be same color.
Tell the court there were at least more than two on the road.
What time when it happened, dark too?
When a swarm of cars heading your way is much harder to tell which is faster or slower.
Also say there is a 51% greater probability that you're not the car in question.
The Police have to prove that you're beyond reasonable doubt in going at the allege speed..
Go ask for some help from Law students, try to read some court transcript, learn how lawyer say things.
Finally the info on the ticket is it all correct, the address to area of conviction. Any part of not Kosher will be thrown out.
So read the ticket description thoroughly.
Deduct the time, so the site offence may not be the place where he pulled u over.
Were u driving on the fast or slow lane.
Have a diary of all happening now, before memory fades.
Are your tires good? if not just point out is impossible to go that fast at all.
I am going to be a little bit more technical on how cops operate speed enforcement, so bear with me:
1) Cops are trained to justify the speed of the vehicles with nakes eyes. Then, they will use speed measuring equipment to verify the speed of the vehicle and issue tickets.
2) If the cop is in the car, he will be using the on-board radar. Depend on the city, some cop cars has the ability to adjust the antenna (circle thing above side mirror) and measure speed in all direction.
Newer radar has something called the POP mode, which allows it to measure speed in less than 1 second by pulsing the radar at his/her pleasure. This is very similar to radar, where the speed measurement is instant. All radar used today has the ability to accurately measure speed while the cop car is moving. Radar has a range of over 1km (on empty road), so don't be surprise that the cop picked on you before you even know it.

3) There is also another possiblity of the cop pacing you. What that mean is that the cop made a U-Turn and followed you for a bit without you knowing and locked radar on you the whole time. Then as you speed up, it just came out from nowhere.
4) Cops are not stupid, unless all cars looks the same. Cops are trained to spot minor things to ID the vehicle in a pack of cars.
Go dispute the ticket. Let's hope that the cop did not use any speed measuring equipment and printed the speed when it comes to the court. Based on my experience, unless you are presented by a lawyer, the court usually rules in favor for the cop when there are printed evidence along with his/her testimonies because they are the professional to do their jobs.
