Tojo's food is kind of fusion; the owner is trying to please the white guys. I guess after you have tried the Japanese restaurant in Japan, tojo is just a joke.
Takifugu's menu doesn't have many choices. honestly, the prices of their appetizer, sashimi, .....etc is not considered to be expensive at all when I compare the price with the japanese restaurant in dt.
I haven't tried Takifugu yet, and I don't see them offer (Puffer fish) in their menu.
I don't think Puffer fish can legally be served in Canada (at least that's what a Japanese chef told me). It's true that Takifugu doesn't have a lot of selections as fusion restaurants tend to have more variety. So I guess it depends which one people prefer.
If you want to eat good food at Takifugu, you don't order off the menu.
The menu is for the new comers. You go to the chef bar and tell the main chef that you want the REAL sushi, price doesn't matter, then you will get the good stuff. Don't ask price too, so you look cool.
Those sushi is about 6 to 15 each, and they are good stuff.
