I did noth passport and ID, I remember I paid $65 on debit to the consulate here. Then I had to have my friend's dad pay HKD$550 (including EMS shipping) to HK Immigration.
They take like 8 applications a day.. LOL.. and I see so many people were rejected/rescheduled due to missing documents.
I blame the visa office not having the right information on the web site to begin with. The girl there told me that "Don't look at the web site, it's outdated, you do what I tell you to, OK!" Speak about service...
They only do 10 applications daily, so having a long waiting list. They only do smart ID and passport together. They don't give out tickets anymore. They take down your name and telephone number and scheduel for appointment. Now the waiting list in till August. The people will tell you what to bring and how much and how to pay when you scheduel the appointment. On the schedueled date if you did not want to apply for the ID & PP, just give them a call. Even did not call them and did not show up is no problem.
If palning back to HK to get the ID, you can make the online booking. But have to pay for the air ticket & other expenses.
