始終＄700都唔係細數目，長住就話嗟，短期我會比較贊成weekend先租，或者等到冬天先買？夏天搭public transit都幾方便架(provided you live close to the station).

買唔買車呢個問題, 真係要考慮好多因素, 不過, 我諗我一日未決定長住, 一日都唔會買車住....

Regarding driver's license, you can switch US driver's license to BC,  If you can provide ICBC with Insurance record from US, driving record is also transferable, so you can get a discount in insurance premiums.

I had my license transfer here, a few paper work here and there, but no big issues.  The sooner you do that, the more money you save in insurance.  Stupid Insurance premium is calculated based on the age of license, not the way you drive.
