it was far beyond my expectation and imagination!!! after seeing so many opening events (world cup and olympic). There is none of them can be compared to this one.

On Yahoo CA, the person (forget his name and title) who is one of people in charge of organizing the 2010 olympic and the openig said this opening won't be seen again (what his mean is 空前絕後) and don't expect Vancouver can do better than Beijing for the opening.

Van will definitely not do the same level of performance.. i mean.. it's not fair to compare... we taxpayers will perfer something innovative & creative but less $$$... & more Canadian oriented..

I was moved by the power of the drummers and the proud faces they shown at the end of their performance. I thought I was looking at a Chin dynastic performance! The other is the moving printing blocks, especially when people came out at the end of the performance. Both were powered by people and it show graphically how much can be done when people are united in heart/mind.

Except for the lighting, Vancouver can do the same, but how can we unite the people with so many 'smart' guys?

正. up to a level that I would make a purchase if they sell on DVD...

You got to love the way they skipped the part when the dynasty era ended and everyone was running away from the crazy leaders. It was like, Ancient China <censored> Modern China with the Olympics, all sing and dancing!
