You don't need to get an alignment with a tire change IF

- there's absolutely no uneven/premature tire wear on your car
- you never hit anything major or hard, slight bump on a curb or bumps on the road is fine, won't harm anything
- your steering wheel is perfectly straight

but if you spend over 1k on 19" tires....why not get a alignment for 80 bucks?

Thanks, I think you are right.  Quite a lots of people..out here..are driving with tires that are relatively uneven!  It's pretty sad that I never get to wear any of my tires enough to replace them because they worm out.!.. I  

My first. car was on a lease, and I only had it for 3/4 years.

My next car was my Jeep, which had to do a alignment for quite a few times, but that has nothing to do with tires.., just that I have suspension mod (lifted)..., and those tires.. were punched when 4 wheeling instead.

For my subaru...now.  I think I am not driving aggressive enough, since the OEM RE070 still works fine only 30% wear at most, I know alot of people out there who can kill those tires in one summer.  Hopefully, I can wear them out enough, so that I can get some new tires next year =P

做alignment最大幫助都係make sure套新呔冇咁快行蝕，始終平極都幾舊水一套新呔，alignment最多都係一百蚊左右，做左可以make sure 4隻轆指岩方向，唔會咁快磨蝕d 呔同埋有可能減少耗油，淨係唔使咁快換新呔呢一方面已經有著數。

有時軚盤直唔等於alignment冇off到，特別係o係d 房車用既4季呔，呔肚比較軟身，係冇咁易feel到alignment 帶黎既分別。

- you are cheap enough to save that $80 to $100 to do a tire change and rich enough to ruin a set of new tires; LET the NEW tire tells you after another couple years
- you never hit anything, slight bump on a curb or bumps on the road is fine, won't harm to know why your new tires wear so quick and uneven; AGAIN, let the new tires tell you
- your steering wheel is perfectly straight, i can feel it, just like butt dyno; the car is perfectly fine dun steal my money from me, wheel alignment is a rip off! what if i dun even need it? just let the new tires tell me!

gosh...i guess wheel alignment is subjective, u can choose not to do but PLEASE dun tell other ppl not to do...maybe u are a good driver and that is never a problem with you; i dun owe any wheel alignment machine or shop, and if u have ever done a proper wheel alignment you should be able to do how much better the car feels in handling, not to say long term tire wear, gas mileage diff etc...

yeah.. so far only done 2x track day, and 1x AutoX type event. I am sure I can do more next year, since I will be taking in less wedding =D

字典仔, you're right, I never had to do any wheel alignment on ANY of my cars...they're all perfect, even with new set of tires, they're perfectly fine.  Of course it's "better" to get one done (like buying insurance), but like I said I have confidence that my cars are fine.  If anyone doesn't know or lacks confidence, then go get one; it only cost 100 bucks!

No offense to you or anything, maybe it's my ignorance, could you tell me why you need a WA if the following is true?  Basically, it means your car is "untouched", how could alignment be "that" bad?  Just want to learn...

Shoot ..   I dont do alignment too ..  unless I think I need it ..   

I have my tires changed many times too ..  so far so good ..  I do alignment on my car, however, just A. when it is needed, B.app. 3-4 yr times/~40,000-50,000 ..  

Most important .. where to find a place to do alignment for $100 ..   if just $100 ..  I wouln'd mind to hv it done every yr or 2 la..

Hey SB ..  no name here .. no brand here ...  

Plus, tires are so expensive too .. I am not as lucky as you guys, I "NEED" snowtires here as well ..
