oh.... I SEE........

Question about lowering car... how? What parts are needed?

Spring? Struct? Coilover? Chamber kit?

What brand? Eibach seems popular? for... spring?

Lowering = lower center of gravity... so it should, in theory, gives better for cornering while sacrificing ride quality?

Thanks in advance.

I would consider myself a newbie, but then I have read lot and lot the last few years  (mostly about my own subie), but would still like to share what I've learned so far.  Personally, I would only go for quality parts, instead of cheap solution for the looks.  And this is also base on street car, not race setup.

To use lowering srings w/o matching with a good set of structs don't always provide better overall performance.  The correct combination is to get a set of high quality struct with springs with matching spring rate.  Coilover may allow you to gain the extra flexibility for adjustment the ride height.  However, getting coilover w/o doing a proper corner/weight balance can sometime upset the suspension more than you want.  Then of course you would have to do a performance alightment as well.  (Research and see what alignement setup works better with your car is needed).

Also lowering your car too much can also cause you other new problems, and may not necessary provide better performance than stock.  Remember you want to have suspension travel, so that you suspension can absob all the in-perfect roads out there.  Lowering the cartoo much can also ruin the roll center on a (MacPherson suspension setup)

My warning to you is: don't mistaken high spring rate/harsh ride = better performance.  A Porsche suspesion ride firm, but not harsh.

Camber Plate is for camber angle adjustment.  Assuming that tire would sit flat with 100% contact to the road with 0 camber, then this is what happen when you are at a corner.

Your car is turn right, the weight is transfer to the left side of your car.  The suspension on the left side is compressed  The Camber angle would go from 0 to possitive.  Therefore, less tire is in contact with the road.  Therefore, people pre-setup the amount of negative camber to help increase grip while you are cornering. eg. -2 on camber at rest, then 0 while it is cornering to max out the grip at the corner.

I am sure others can tell you more, but I use KW V3 : http://www.kw-suspension.com/en/ ... Coilovers/index.php

Lowering = lower center of gravity... so it should, in theory, gives better for cornering while sacrificing ride quality?

So, again, while lowering = lower center of gravity, there are other factors in suspension setup that are more important than center of gravity.

Have FUN.

PS: This is what I have done with my 06 STi

Cobb AP + Protuned on mustang dyno

280 WHP @ 5500
296 WTQ @ 4500

- SPT Intake
- Cobb Turboback Exhaust w/CAT
- KW V3 Coilover (Lower .75" - 1"
- RCE Camber Plate (-1.5F / -2.0R)
- ACPT Carbon Driveshaft
- Cobb F/R Swaybars Cobb Endlinks

Thanks... Just read the forum... seems like rear chamber kit is pretty much mandatory for my TSX.

Someone recommended
Neuspeed Supercup kit

I have my doubts with something this inexpensive..!  Have you consider TEIN?  They have something like this for the TSX: http://www.raceinspired.com/ps-9 ... ra-tsx-2004-up.aspx

599USD 係幾抵
但你最好搵一搵 Neuspeed Supercup kit 彈弓o既 spring rate

因為Neuspeed = H&R
我之前架Accord用 H&R sport spring (未係Race)
已經好登 Spring rate幾硬下
你可以係koni shocks到"就" 返
但要有心理準備 會硬過原廠

I'm thinking of use SPORT, instead of RACE.  Although it doesn't drop as much, it should have a more comfortable ride (reported to be just slightly harsher than stock)
Notes
Spring kit may be substituted for Sport spring kit.  Simply specify preference in notes section of order form.

Kumho XS is a bit faster than Star Specs wor? Should be cheaper as well.
