Clearly, some officials are responsible for those tofu schools. When those schools were built, someone had to be responsible for approving those building permits. Now the provincial government is just covering up who was responsible for approving those schools.peter236 發表於 2009-5-8 00:23
So you recognize that 豆腐渣工程 exist as well? Given that they do exist, why does the central and provincial government continue to deny that it was the very reason that caused the massive number of deaths, especially at local schools and such? And why are no government officials and construction companies punished as a result?
Compare this to the melamine milk scandal, this 豆腐渣工程 incident was handled even more poorly. In the melamine milk scandal, the Mung Au CEO was sent to "life imprisonment" (with rumours claiming that her "imprisonment" doesn't really amount to much of an imprisonment at all). Officials were disciplined and fired from their existing positions, only to be discovered later that there were merely restored in office somewhere else. But with the 豆腐渣工程, the Central Government continues to try covering it up however they can. Let me ask you directly -- how is this acceptable?!
