This is what Al Gore has shown years ago during the Inconvenient Truth. The idea is still true, our climate is changing at a rate that there is nothing we can do to reverse the effect. It's like cancer, we cannot stop it, only to slow it down.
I know nothing about the science of carbon and global warming but 2 ongoing events concerns me a great deal, the rapid melting of polar ice and the disappearing glaciers all over the world because the melting of Greenland and Antarctica will raise sea level while the dwindling glaciers are the source of water for many rivers which many people depends for drinking water. We are very lucky to be living in Canada where fresh water is abundant and population is low versus land mass. we are probably better able to survive global warming than many countries. But then there's our neighbor to the south which we are bound to help out...
