From what I remembered from a past experience couple years ago, ICBC only paid certain amount of money (don't remember how much exactly) for car rental during the whole procedure (waiting for adjuster reports, repairing time at autoshop if ICBC decided that it is repairable...etc)
So if you figure that it may take more than a few days, it's better to get a smaller vehicle cuz the rental fee is less than bigger vehicle. When that amount of money used up and your own vehicle is still not really, then the rest of the rental fee goes to you.
I don't know if it is from an optional insurance or just from basic plan, but I remembered we ran into a situation like this so we only stayed with the smaller vehicle in order to spreading out the rental expense. |
