In order to get iphone for 199 from Fido, you need to get Data plan.



The lowest you can get is $25 per month for 500mb.

However, if you do not use it that much you could get $15 for only 150mb.

Here is how.

1.  Call to cancel the data plan.
2.  the fido guy/girl will transfer you to customer relation.
3.  he/she will ask you why you want to cancel.
4.  he/she will offer you this plan to persuade you to stay.

I think usually you have to keep data plans for most smart phones for 1 year (at least for blackberries. Otherwise, they'll be a $200 or so penalty)

Yes, the cancellation fee for the data plan is 200 bucks;

that's why 200/15 = 13 ==> 1 year
