seriously..if the hst is not implemented...campbells wont get the 1.6 bil from the feds..then tehre will just be more cuts or more taxes on other things...u need money to fund things...there is no free lunch..yes...they earn a not deserved high salary..a lot of funds not getting spent wisely...but i will take this over any overspending on so called welfare by ndp any given day
With gas, I have a choice. I can choose to take public transit. With heat, I can't live without heat in winter wor. I already put off the "turn on" heat day to end of October where my house is less than 13C. I don't think I have choice to avoid this raise. 7% increase in my BC Hydro/Gas bill is a lot to me.
Bottom line is, I understand there is a need for $ for the Olympic (or for his whole party salary raise). But there is a better way to 'promote' it rather than "just do it" attitude.
but the thing is the tax is higher but we did not see any benefit yet. All I saw on the news was cutting funding to various things in B.C....

Just ask yourself where the money comes from.... Everyone wants money... Everyone wants a raise... The whole world is suffering, why do you think we in Canada or even BC is exempted? I do not envy the politians, they need to balance the limited resources among all the greedy parties without offending anyone. My RRSP is down so much that I do not think I can ever retire..
