Fibbi, I'm looking at your mothers' day card, what did you use to color the Japanese dolls? and is that a stamp?  I love it! (and I've seen this doll in many magazines and forum but don't know where to get it)

I'm very slow in making card. I could spend a few hours on one. I think on avg it takes 1.5 hours on one card. So I don't think there's a chance for me to hit 100 x'mas card before x'mas.

The Japanese doll is Hero Arts stamp (my favourite brand). Here. I got this one from the Granville Island stamp store but don't know if they still have it now. Michaels has some Hero Arts products but I haven't seen this one yet.
And I just use colour pencil to colour the doll. I think the face I use copic markers I can't remember now.

I usually just made card for friends when there's special occasion. Like friend's birthday and my "artistic" mind tend to flow better when closer to the "deadline". I rarely pre-made something.

Haha Rainy, I'm just a shopaholic, compare to Fibbi' cards, mine are just simply cut and paste works.  No skills much.  (sigh, I was debating whether to go to Scrapbooking Warehouse today.  So I decided to go by taking the Canada Line and on my way walking on Marine, I dropped my iPhone to the ground, there goes $100 so I went straight back to the station and home......coz no more money to shop )

Fibbi, so you have copic markers!  Are they easy to use?  Where did you buy them?  (maybe I shouldn't ask.....)

Let's don't talk about the sad thing.

During my extended LONG 3 hrs break from work, I went all the way from DT back to Metrotown to check out that dollar store next to Futureshop. I bought 2 things there (glue tape and the double sided adhesive dots). Then, I headed back to metro's $1store, bought a 2 for $1 tag (which is like a HUGE sheet with lots of different stickers and tags).

Have you girls been to the Dollar store on Kingsway and Night? that one actually has much more craft stuff than the ones in Burnaby =)

I like the "handmade from the heart" stamp as well. But sooner or later I will get something from here

gotta stop going to dollar stores for few weeks, i've been hoping to buy more christmas materials but i guess it's still too early
so I'm gonna wait

hahaha I was trying hard not to visit but I guess I can't control anymore =(

ahhaha are you already starting to make x'mas cards?

TOP

started, but found that i don't have much christmas paper!
the motivation on making christmas cards is that I'm hoping to make some money to compensate my scrapbooking spending

yea, you should! From my old work place, a girl makes cards all the time and she charges people like $2 per card. If they purchase like more than 50 cards from her, then she will give discounts to them.

I think it's all the hardwork and our time that count. It takes me a long time to finish a card.
