I personally think (just my little 0.0002 cents) that gold ribbon with the light pink doesn't go too well with this yellow.
This is a "bright" yellow that may work better with the dark pink (i.e. your cake frame colour), dark red or bright green/blue etc.

My hubby sometimes saw me sitting still staring at piles of paper and call me crazy! It does take long time to "match the colour", at least for me. I can spend 2 or 3 hours on a card...big chunk of the time spent on the design and colour matching la.

Yeah it's also nice to see very neat/tidy workspace. Me.... sigh...
I just categorize different colour paper stock into plastic bags...and I bought a 3 drawer for rubber stamps...other accessories just in different bags lying on the floor... sigh...
So when I'm working on my card...i just sit on the floor to match..

I got the cuttlebug machine around $55 with tax from Michales. Wait until you got the Michaels 50% off one item coupon and the extra 25% off all items coupon.
The individual embossing folder is around $6 each in local stores, Michales is selling $9 each so it works out about the same with 40% off coupon.

I don't have other machines so I can't comment. I think cuttlebug is the cheapest among all...

Yeah I think Cuttlebug is great!
only if you intent to use the bigger die cuts in the future, then u would need to buy the BigShot instead.  I see that most local stores use the BigShot instead of the cuttlebug, and I once asked and the reply was the BigShot could take bigger size paper and diecuts...
I just saw today at Scrapbooking Warehouse that the Cuttlebug is $79.99 and Bigshot being $99.99.  As Fibbi says, use the coupon at Michaels, it's such a great deal.
