Regarding your accusation to Walmart,
I dont think this is a Walmart's issue because Walmart does not manufacture the disc,
rather it is the retailer/wholesaler....
Regarding your Blu-Ray Disc:
Three possibilities:
1) the disc is flawed (manufacturing flaw)
2) your DVD player has problems
3) you are using a DVD player not having the right CODEC
for example,
if u use a Mainland China DVD player to play a DVD made in the U.S
they are not compatible....(have something to do with the coding inside the disc)
I don't think you can refund the old one since it is a software disc and has been opened.
Try explain to customer service and get them to replace it. Tell them it is a semi-defected disc which you suspect there are scratches on the inner part of the disc.
walmart is usually very easy on refunds, I used to have a friend that works there, she told me people return open CDs and claim that they don't work... they have to take it back...
