Hey, I went to that Winners location on Tue... but I don't see lots of scrapbooking supplies... is that in the Homesense area? or a different area?
That's what I worry. when I watched the youtubes, seems like the spellbinders are so so easy to get thru the B-plate. However, the spellbinders are so nice lor.
Last time I went to Scrapbooking Warehouse and said I wanted a cuttlebug machine~
They suggest me to get the "Big Shot" machine which was onli $20 more~
The sales said that they sell the Big Shot way more than the Cuttlebug, like 1:50~
She said the with the Big Shot u can use not onli Cuttlebug, but Sizzix, Originals, and those brass stencils that they sell in Scrapbooking Warehouse~
So far I like the Big Shot a lot~
Also another option~
FYI - I find that spellbinders at Scrapbooking Warehouse are cheaper compared to MMWS even after member's discount, just by a buck or two though. And Scrapbooking Warehouse has way more choices. Too bad, I don't drive and only been to go to Scrapbooking Warehouse once.
Actually I watched a few videos about how we can use cuttlebug with Sizzix, Originals, and those brass stencils, spellbinders, and etc. I guess we can still use the cuttlebug for different brands of dies/folders.
Where exactly is Scrapbooking Warehouse? Does it near the Canada Linke (Marine Dr/Oak) Station at all?
Actually I found the store in Granville Island has the best price on spellbinders. But the differences are couple cents less (to $1), compare to Scrapbook warehouse.
Scrapbook warehouse is 8932 Oak street. (Just south of S.W Marine Dr). If you get off from Canada Line (Marine station) I think you need to walk about 15 minutes (from cambie to Oak).
I think big shot is better (it's bigger (can emboss bigger area/bigger card), and easier to work with diff things). But it's also more expensive and takes more space. Depending what you want. If you don't mind paying $20 more than the cuttlebug, and have enough space, then Big Shot is definitely better.
The spellbinders will leave a mark on B-Plate when it goes thru cuttlebug. But don't worry, it won't break it (unless you force it to go through).
