I think you need to read again what I wrote. I just asked how does Lik know that they have insufficient passion for the game from the spectator's perspective? According to Lik, he claimed the speed s ...

He knows that from the news I posted.  It could be wrong and it could be right; of course we can only tell by the news media.  You did post some news from China and were they all true?  Who knows right?  We can only judge from the media.  Of course if you know them personally or other news stated otherwise, you can say it otherwise.  Then, you cannot say they have passion just because everything about China is good in your eye.

I think you got it wrong.

If you want to enjoy the game, just do it in your backyard.  Why go to the Olympics?

Olympics is one business.  And this business is about winning medals.

I could be wrong but if you do not have enough passion, how can you give your 100%.

ACCORDING TO THAT NEWS, players were joking even after they lost.  That happened to the basketball team awhile back too.  They do not have enough passion to try to win.  That would be bad in my eyes.

Of course, it could be just that the coach is making those up.

她們只覺得比賽是工作,比賽完等於放工,根本不熱愛這種運動;我不明白她們怎麼想。

i do believe it.  how long is the curling history in china?  is it popular?  阿爺 wants to win more metals, so choose some talent ones and pay for a good couch.  for the girls, it is just a job, if they win, get some bonus, if they loss, who's really care.

They were joking because the result of that game did not matter at all.

I knew the anti-China haters are itching to bash the Chinese at every opportunity.

Lik said "同 short track speed skating 同花式流冰嘅選手來比,curling 呢班實在太唔掂".
How does he know the speed skaters and figure skaters have "more passion"? The article that you posted just talked about the curlers.

Besides, I said before, the speed skaters actually won something, therefore they were celebrating wildly. But curlers have not even conclude their competition. What type of emotion do you expect from the curlers.
I didn't post a lot of Chinese news, LOL. I mostly post Chinese-related pictures because a picture is worth more than a thousand words.

Well, your Canadian 阿爺 here, also want to "own the podium". Therefore, nearly $200 million was invested into the athletes. But now they concede that they cannot beat the US to "own the podium".
