What were some of the things that your parents like to say to you that you hate?

I hear a lot of:
BBQ pork should've been borned instead of me...
I was given birth by a rock...
So and so's kids are better than you...

nothing in particular, but i hate they said the same sentences over and over again for five minutes+.

This hurts the most.
"So and so's kids are better than you..."

Then years later, I talked about that to my Mom and guess what she said...she said "other kids are better..." at that time the comment is based on some thing that the other kid does... and she said that I gotta be more open minded and learn how/why the other kid behaves smarter from that case, instead of feeling left out and hurt. In other words I should learn to be smarter, and don't be "siu hay" instead. And some how...it kinda make sense... And my response is that... then how come when I tried to do the same thing that the other kid does... there is no recognition? Then she said... "it's not good for mom to praise their own kid in public"... and you should feel how Mom loves you all the time from how mom takes care of you...don't need to "say it out" all the times...

I guess if I become the parents...I would remember to praise the kid doesn't matter in public or privately...kids need that encouragement...

    At first I had the same feeling too...but then...just think of they probably has no one else to share their lives/jokes or whatever...

And some how...I would think once you don't hear it anymore...then u will miss it... (not u but anybody in general...)
