Which show was it? Luckily I read some news about younger generations in HK started to avoid eating shark fin since recent years. Way to go but it's happening, yay!

【本報訊】一條殘害小鯨鯊的片段，近日觸動網民發起「魚翅婚宴。人情七折」運動，建議賓客面對以魚翅入餚的婚宴，做人情金額應打七折，把餘下三成金錢捐贈保護鯊魚的環保團體。網上群組短短數天內得到逾千人支持，反應熱烈。有即將結婚的情侶欲響應呼籲，更改喜宴菜單，但遭家長反對。運動發起人希望透過今次運動移風易俗，改變老一輩心目中婚宴必須以魚翅宴客的中國傳統。記者：袁慧妍、蔡元貴

今年農曆年假有港人到菲律賓潛水，拍下小鯨鯊被割下魚鰭後奄奄一息慘況，網民轉載片段及傳媒報道事件後，不少市民表示關注，身在美國工作的香港人李銳華看過報道後，認為兇手手法殘忍，且嚴重影響海洋生態，上月底他在社交網站 facebook開設「魚翅婚宴。人情七折 Cut gift money for shark-fin banquets」群組，提醒市民保育海洋生態的重要性。

有網民設計「魚翅婚宴。人情七折」信封，呼籲赴宴賓客停食翅兼人情做折。

李銳華對本報表示，傳統酒席多數有魚翅供應，婚宴賓客「畀人情」實質是「用者自付」，「如果擺廿圍，即係 240個人一齊去 commit crime（犯罪）。」他認為，既然賓客無權選擇菜單食物，倒不如在做人情方面着手，如得悉菜單有魚翅，可拒絕食用，並將人情打七折，其餘三成捐贈環保團體作保育用途。此舉間接向主人家表態之餘，亦可推廣保育訊息，令其他新人停止以魚翅宴客。群組一開，短短數日已有近 1,700人加入，網民紛紛發表意見支持保護鯊魚。有人表示「一個喜宴使無數的鯊魚白白失去生存權利，『豪』比良知還重要嗎？」有網民提議，婚宴可用素翅、魚翅瓜代替魚翅，或提供其他湯羮，上菜前可由司儀解釋何謂無翅婚宴，減少賓客對新人的誤會，又可提高賓客保育意識；為免賓客渾水摸魚，網民建議應在七折人情的利是封內，附加有關慈善機構的收據。也有網民設計「魚翅婚宴。人情七折」標誌，讓賓客在人情信封貼上圖案以表支持。
現有 56間機構承諾停食魚翅

世界自然基金會香港分會（ WWF）市場推廣主任（鯊魚項目）潘婉堯表示，該會相當支持坊間一系列有創意的保護鯊魚建議，相信未來可集百家之所長，推出更多生態保育運動。潘婉堯補充， WWF已着手聯絡企業，呼籲宴客時停食魚翅，現有 56間機構承諾，不再在公司活動食用魚翅，包括恒生銀行、香港大學、海洋公園。 WWF亦正積極游說餐飲業界停售魚翅，一間名為「囍宴」的私房菜已簽署承諾書，相信陸續有更多食肆參與。其實，現時不少食肆已推出沒有魚翅的婚宴菜單。迪士尼樂園在環保團體壓力下， 05年開業時已決定樂園酒店舉辦的婚宴，不會提供魚翅。樂園副總裁盧炳松說，無翅酒席起初不受歡迎，其後保育意識高漲，才逐漸受落：「估唔到後來吸引咗一班消費力高、環保意識強嘅年輕顧客，無翅婚宴越做越好，每年百零單婚宴，好快爆滿。」保護鯊魚，李銳華滿腹大計，包括到婚姻註冊處拿取準新人聯絡方法，向對方寄發宣傳單張；搜集並公開以魚翅作公務宴會的大機構名單；向立法會議員游說開徵魚翅稅，五年後完全禁止魚翅進口。李銳華說：「家希望做到食魚翅係落伍，食翅會得失人客。」網上另一群組「向魚翅說不 SAY NO TO SHARK'S FIN SOUP」現有近 8,000名網民支持，上月初於《信報》撰寫〈食魚翅 損陰德〉一文的作者陳雲，亦是支持者之一。

擺酒放棄食翅，其實有更多便宜又環保的選擇。香港餐飲聯業協會主席黃家和表示，外國環保團體紛紛倡議保育鯊魚，令魚翅供應數量及質素均大幅下滑，來貨價不斷上升。餐飲業界已做好準備，開始改用其他食材，如以響螺淮山燉雞、海皇羮等，取代傳統紅燒翅或雞鮑翅，酒席價格有下調空間，「用湯羮唔用翅，一圍酒可以相差過千蚊」。港島香格里拉大酒店推出的婚宴菜單列明，如客人想以其他菜式代替紅燒蟹肉燴海虎翅，可選擇四寶瑤柱羮或金瑤雞絲羮，如想代替紅燒菜膽金山勾翅，則可選擇蟹黃雪蛤燴海鮮羮或燕窩鷓鴣海鮮羮，但價錢不變。有網民提議以魚翅瓜取代真翅。魚翅瓜的瓜肉一絲絲排列像魚翅，有清熱養胃、生津止渴功效，其嫩果或成熟果均可食用。本報記者

I used to like to visit zoos and aquariums in japan but sigh........ after I realized they grab your money to send you a message for caring animals such as sheep but then the cafe right inside the zoo will have lamb served..... . WTF?! I decided not to visit any of their zoos nor aquariums from now on!

many teens from our society like eating blue-fin more than shark-fin
I don't see much protests about eating shark-fin in hk or in vancouver. Probably those people like to promote eating blue-fin in the wedding banquet

and I wish no earth-lover like to eat goose liver here........the pictures of showing the process of "growing" a goose liver is much more "colorful" than what we saw here. Again, no one protest eating goose liver in nowhere

In my opinion, some reasons deep hiding in some Chinese teens about protest eating shark-fin are, they would like to get rid of traditional chinese culture
