Why don't China build better houses that can withstand furious earthquake?

There are government regulations that require buildings should be built to withstand earthquakes. In Sichuan earthquake, many older buildings did not collapse, while some newer buildings collpased. This is a clear indication that some of the newer buildings were not built to the government regulations.
Anyway, there are thousands of barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico every day. BP has no technology to stop the oil from moving. The oil is reaching the coast of southern US. This greatly affects seafood supply from that region. |
