    Well, yes or no ..  they do have high retail price, however, big depreciation as well, (Esp Volvo)

I guess for people they like Volvo, they like it ...  and I bet they have some big sale going on all the time.

To me, the concern is, will Volvo and Saab etc stay in business in Canada? if yes, for how many more years?

Just in case, I think my 5Dm2 & 1DsM3 are both made in Japan.  Honestly speaking, I would not have spent $8K on a made in China 1DsM3.

so, if you ask me if I'll buy a made in China car right now?  no.  I won't get a made in North American car either.

Never mind about your opinions. China is the largest car market in the world and the largest car manufacturer in the world.
Millions of people are still buying made in China Honda, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes, GM etc. which are made in China using the same techniques used elsewhere.

    That is .. what I mean too ..  at least, for Canon, most bodies are made in Japan... and at least, all the "L" lens...  but many lens/flash etc .. are made in China/TW etc ..

And if there is a choice...  but say a D300, still a good camera, and not cheap, but made in Thailand ...  and no choice ..

Takes time for reliability and credibility to build up. Like Korean car 10 years ago, definitely a "NO" but now it's more decent. Same for Chinese car, it's still in the early stage so give it a couple years would become more favourable car.
