Agree. But unlike other research company, they are not paid to do the work. If I got a bunch of like minded and highly educated people together, I will likewise publish our view, in the hope we are using our knowledge to serve the common good of All Canadians. This is a democracy, each one can have his/her say, that is why you will need to find ways to promote your view and convince others to get acceptance. Selfish and short-sight is harming the democracy we all treasure now.
While they are not explicitly paid to do their so-called "research" work, you have to look at where their funding came from. The Fraser Institute has been involved with quite a number of controversies where their published results were heavily questioned and criticized. I'm too lazy to dig up their history la, but I always take their "research results" with a grain of salt gum law.
You should always remember:
1. Don’t believe anything Heritage says.
2. If you find what Heritage is saying plausible, remember rule 1.
That is what Paul Krugman (Nobel prize on Economics) said on Heritage Foundation. Fraser is just a carbon copy of Heritage.
You should always be suspicious when people posed as "Highly Educated people".

What you are saying is that in a two party situation, there is little difference between the parties. That means you have a one-party dictatorship here.
That is why you need to bave a chaotic 6 - 12 parties to achieve some form of democracy.

Tell me how is this related? You mean you spend a lot of time studying this Fraser Institude and dug up all the relevant events and people and studied them all? BTW, what did you write your thesis on?
One way to find out who they have connections with is to look at where their funding comes from. These are usually confidential info and it's hard to get sometimes but here is something interesting.
