as far as i recall most toyota can take 3.5L to 4L for drain and fill...yet still it's only about 1/2 of what the entire tranny takes...

i think Audi and VW says lifetime for their ATF, when my friend did his at 75k, dealer was telling him his tranny is going to be busted soon...

i have seen tranny being damaged by the machine, some time it's not good when the tranny is in poor condition; automatic transmission is driven by hydraulic pressure, if the tranny has worn out and dirt is somewhat holding up the pressure (can also make it sluggish); but when it's too clean, have seen car that lost one gear afterwards...overall, it's 2 to 3x more than a regular drain and fill

If your tranny is in poor condition to begin with...don't even bother with fluid change and what not, sell the car ASAP and get another one!  I'm serious.  Nothing can save a tranny besides rebuilding it.

problem is lots of ppl dun even know their tranny is dying...

and multiple fluid flush actually helps it to last longer, even tho it might not regain all the power (hydraulic pressure)...

wait, are u saying the light for the shifter? like where it shows PRND2L, tiffiant?

you only have to change light bulb, not the fluid bor...

as for 97 corolla, it just uses regular dexon III, some newer toyota uses Type TIV and even WS now...so can't use cheap dexon no more...

and some toyota has differential fluid that u should change while doing transmission fluid, as they will mix together internally ~ but change seperately

Hmm... I take it that you've never had your transmission fluids changed, Tiffiant? In that case, I would definitely NOT recommend a transmission flush. You should still look into an ATF (automatic tra ...

97 corolla has a low transmissoin fluid light? i didn't notice that tim (was just working on one day)...

or u mean low in engine oil ar?

u have to pull the dipstick out and see what is wrong before u start topping it up, and if it hasn't been changed for awhile it's actually better to change it instead of topping it up too
