And start up a flickr account and read a lot, and look at good photos, and shoot like crazy.

And don't get into photoshop actions, presets, eye brightening, skin softening that kind of things, they are a waste of time.

Definitely! A good start is always fundamental to succeed. I think in the Boxing day sales T2i will be down to $700 (or even lower) with the 18-55mm kit lens. You won't regret...

you will never regret to buy a full frame.. get a 2nd hand 5D is cheap
