I should have used the word "weak" (and at the same time, they are poor).

With still tons of internal problems, pretending "tough" to foreign countries is a usual and good method to stabilize internal pressure utilized by local politicans to fulfill their political goal. They know even if they keep barking, it makes no changes to the fact that US navy being the sole superiority of the region.

我都唔係咁中意李光耀, 但係佢講既係事實.
中國對周邊鄰國係威脅, 呢個係事實同現實. 中國政治唔透明, 更令外國因為 "估佢唔到" (不了解) 而恐懼.  再加上國人氣焰衝天, 咁D鄰國 又無中國咁強, 梗係要拉美制中, 呢個又係現實.  我都唔中意見到, 但無論我中唔中意, 李光耀講唔講, 只要中國政治無改進, 現實係唔會改變, 而隨著 中國愈強大, 情況只會愈緊張.

人地講事實, 就話人地係狗, 吊人上天.  而唔去正視現實, 又無胸襟, 咁既質素, 同大國掘起一D都唔佩.

正所謂修身齊家治國平天下.   有咁既國民, 我真係擔心中國未來.

Just ignore what this guy says. There is no reason why any country will need to 制衡中国.
He is just afraid his country cannot compete, therefore he is trying to rally for other countries' support in order to achieve his plans.

The thing is that his Singapore casinos cannot compete with Macau's casinos.
Singapore financial markets is not as important and dominant as Hong Kong's financial markets.

Peter.. Imagine yourself is the leader of a country.   There is a large country besides you.  What will you do?  are you going to put your country and your citizens in to the hand of another country?  What will do you?
