    I toured some organic diary farms in Abbotsford, the owner reserves some
    unpasteurized milk for his family.  However,  all the milk goes into the vat have to be
    pasteurized and shipped across the nation.
    Some small cheese factories make  raw milk cheese and you can buy raw milk cheese     at  farm markets  if you are lucky.  Urban Fare has some raw milk cheese but they cost a fortune

the import prices can be low while the retail prices are high with rent/labor and everything else included

if your income is inflated, then your spending is also inflated. That doesn't change the fact that food prices are low.

That is why, cost of living in stupid Cow town is still "LOW" according to whatever report ... since average income here is almost highest in north america ..

Knew about raw milk cheese. There is/was a program that you can co-own a dairy cow and since you are the owner, you can get milk from the cow... It just gets very complicated... I just want to give it a try to see if I can actually drink it.
I am mildly lactose intolerance. I won't have bathroom problem after drinking cold milk but I felt "funny" everytime I drink it. But I am fine with cheese, yogurt, ice-cream...etc.
