I don't understand this Canada line either....only 3 carts...vs say the Millenium line double the number of carts....and much bigger station...
Not to mention the crappy design of the station....3 different escalator to reach the platform...or 3 different elevator...up and down...up and down (e.g. the Langara station, Oakridge station)

Only 3 faregates....BIG LINEUP I can see!

They should cut their high salaries first.

The stations could have been built to accommodate to 3-4 carriages each train.
Then they could start with 2 carriages, then expand to 3-4 carriages each train.
But of course that was going to cost more money to build the stations.

3 faregates not enough?

there are only 4 fare gates on each side of the station in Mexico city and their flow is at least 150 times Vancouver's

I still remember many years ago some city councillors went to Hong Kong and London, UK subway to inspect whether faregates are good for train stations, LOL.

Yes, and No.

Say it takes 4 second to go thru the faregate  (should be less once RFID is in place).  One faregate can flow 900 passengers per hour.  A station with 6 faregates can flow 5,400 passengers per hour.

Canada line can only take 15,000 passengers per hour.

The dumb part is Canada line is too small, not too few faregate.
