I'm agnostic. I believe there is a higher power but I don't think humankind will ever understand this higher power. For all I know, this higher power might not even have a will / conscious mind.

Also, I don't like organized religions; this stems from the fact that most religions do not recognize other religions. Religions might co-exist / tolerate other religions but fundamentally, organized religions create a us v.s. them environment.

I think we should keep the moral learnings from religious stories but we should move away from organized religions that create artificial boundaries between people.

Sadly, I don't see this happening any time soon.

At least, I think my religions does not teach/force/persuade me to create artificial boundaries between people. In my opinion, discrimination is not limited to religions.

The origin of the religions might not have necessarily 'taught' or 'preached' extremism. Unfortunately people are like that. When a group deeply believes in something, and another group strongly believes otherwise, conflicts occurs.

It hard to deny that most wars in history were because of religion. The intent of the religions might not be bad, but the resulting wars throughout thousands of years are also undeniable. It's hard to say whether religions in general have a net-postiive or net-negative impact throughout human history. But for surely, a lot of people have been killed in the name of various religions. Hypothetically, some of these wars might not have occurred if religions isn't there for foolish humans to use as that extra excuse to drive each other to the ground...
