(1)月費15元:本地電話無限WiFi通話;

The UNO service is just like the T-Mobile HotSpot service with a tweak.

In the US, T-Mobile has their own HotSpot in basically everywhere. From StarBucks, malls and gas station. The idea is very similar to the old PCS service in HK. When people see the "sign", they know they get phone service.

Unless Rogers has similar infrastructure in Canada, I doubt UNO will work.

Rogers now has ADSL and Landline, it might be a good alternative to Telus.

I am a little confused... with Rogers home phone and others (AIC, Primus) isn't it true that the line only comes through one jack?  And that jack would then has to connect directly to your internet modem as well?

I guess the convenience of Telus landline is plug and play in rooms with a phone jack, which other companies cannot outbid.

My family is using AIC right now, soooo cheap, 十幾蚊 a month, still using our old number (from Telus) which we used for 20+ years.
But when I call home from my cell phone, it takes about 5 seconds to hear the "doot" dialing tone.. and it's 好細聲 and 唔係好清 too.. I've complained about that to my dad but he said, "冇計啦, 平吖嘛, 十幾蚊仲想點呀"

i'm using rogers and it's the same as the telus landline.  my apartment has pre-wired phone jacks and i just plug the regular home phone to the jack and can use any jack in my home for homephone service.  getting the benefit of being a new customer could be cheaper than telus for the first 6 months. now i have 1 landline + call display + call waiting.  All the fees add up to $40.61 in total per month.
