Woo..... I just came back home ....what a long line up at the gas station coz 142.9, maybe tomorrow raise the tax....so everybody want to get the cheap gas
It was 1.40 at ESSO wo? But what is the big deal with $0.024/Litre? It is a $1.2 difference for a full tank of 50 litres. But consider you got $100/person from the government, it will be good for about 80 fill up. Doing the math further, it will be 80 x 50 or 4,000 litres of gas. As my car uses 10 Km/Litre, this will last me for 40,000 Km. As I drive around 10,000 Km per year, it should last me for 4 years. I have no complain or should I?
dude, the carbon tax doesn't only affect you on driving. it's gonna raise the cost of anything that involves "carbon" or needs "gas" in the production process. you don't really need an economics degree to figure out who will suffer the most. or do you?

er...your hydro, and heat bills will have carbon tax on it too
so redo your math.
