Why there is always conflicts and agreement between believers and non-believers? After all, it's about respect between them. To believe in one religion or not is all up to personal preference, it's as simple as you like chicken but I like fish. At a meal, you can have your favorite chicken and I order my fish, what's the problem?! If you keep pushing me like: "Yeah, eat chicken la, chicken is so good and yummy ar... blah blah", what would I feel? I believe this is the most pissing off non-believers part.

I think it only reinforces how Nam does not believe in the religion because he actually studied the religion in attempt to find out for himself whether it is believable for him. This IMO is an objective attitude. A person that attempt to understand a POV even if in the end, he/she don't agree with the POV because of the understanding he gained from it is definately the complete opposite of what the word 'ignorant' is about. IMO that is a very mature attitude.

On the flip side, shutterbug have become very defensive on this post, to a point that he have not only attacked me, Nam and also attacked a lot of other people just for the sake of defending his believe. I think he owe a lot of people an apology. IMO this is exactly what a mature Christian, or a mature person conducting a conversation shouldn't do... It is what IMO, give Christians such a bad name. They just can't stand people who don't carry their view and can't stand people telling them why they don't carry their view.

The MJ case should be dismissed.  Reasons are provided already.

Regarding other things like brand name/expensive things.  That's merely a personal preference.  If you can afford, why can't you buy higher quality things?  There are rich people in the Bible too.  Other things you listed are some what similar so not going to comment.

For one thing I want to ask you, when you believe a God you believe "the God", not the believers, or the people who "claim" believe in him right?  People can claim whatever they want without proofing themselves, so does that stop you from believing the true God?  No.  If one day, everyone on earth is against Christian or is "false Christian", bad apples, whatever you want to call them, does it make the beliefs false?  I don't think so.  Will they mis-represent Christianity, maybe, but as long as there is a Bible, anyone can make a correct decision.

It's not as simple as you like chicken and I like beef.  It's about my beef is better than your chicken and vice versa...

It's clearly written in the bible, people (believers) shouldn't do anything that may "let brothers fall". For example, yeah buying LV and Benz is affordable for richer believers, how if this kind of action may let poorer bothers fall? How to "know" and "predict" in advance? That's debatable.

How can people know about God? First, the bible was not written by God Himself. Second, even so, people can think there was a God claimed Himself the true and only God and wrote a book about Himself, doesn't mean He is really the true and only God in the world, there might be other gods who didn't come out to claim and write about themselves.
OK, let's eliminate other possibilities. The bible was written by many people (we can say believers), that means those people were the media for other people to know about God. So it is very sense making why other people (non-believers) focus on believers (since they can't "see" and "know" about the real God by themselves), in order to know about this God. Now many believers' excuse is, people can't and shouldn't judge God thru human believers, including their action, attitude, thinking... etc, then how could people know about God if can't tell by His believers? Isn't it not quite sense making and convincing?

it is ok for someone keep asking me eat chicken while I only like eating fish. But I would ask those a-hole to f-off and use my shoes to stuff his mouth if he/she is saying only eating chicken is good-taste while eating other kinds of foods are bad-taste

To think/comment either chicken or beef is better than the other is totally subjective. There is no absolute answer. Even you (a general you) think what was written in the bible and the God is how true and real, I (a general I) can think the other way. Some people can believe in something without solid proof but just go by their feeling, some people prefer to see solid proof and in a more scientific way before believing in something. Can't really say who is right and who is wrong. To the chicken guy, not eating chicken but beef is kind of stupid; but on the other side, the beef guy is thinking the same.
