You are the one who should STFU now. Hong Kong's tax rates are way lower than in the US, UK and Canada. They don't even have GST/PST. With tax rates so low, how are they going to pump adequate money ...

That's why there is a huge reserve.
Waiting for something to happen.

Yes rich poor disparity widens, but why should the poor care when they are getting a better standard of living quicker?

假設兩個國家A國同B國,   A 國平居民收入1千﹐有份一千五蚊人工叫你去做去當地永久生活。 B國居民平均收入3千﹐有份兩千蚊既工要你去做永久生活。 如果不能再移民 ﹐兩國訊息不互通但科技文化水平一樣﹐  一般人會揀去A國定B國生活呢? 我就實揀A國﹐ 我諗大部份人都同我一樣﹐ 原因大家都心照啦~

Please learn more before you spew crap. Hong Kong does have one of the lowest infant mortality rate and one of the longest life expectancy in the world. These two are indicators of their high quality health care.

When people in HK choose not to raise a child anymore, choose only live together having no babies. the infant mortality rate will be ZERO. A world record. SILLY

You are so smart, to realize that people in many countries like Japan and Canada, have low birth rates. When you know nothing about infant mortality rates, just don't comment. You are just embarrassing yourself.

Hong Kong's tax rates are way lower than in the US, UK and Canada. They don't even have GST/PST. But they are still able to deliver good health care.

I am not talking about monimal income, I am talking about quality of living. Your example thus won't apply.

病房呼救3小時無醫生
肝癌老翁終不治 瑪麗稱已立刻施救 2008年12月23日

【明報專訊】明愛醫院昨日才剛為「心臟病人失救風波」公開道歉，但一波未平一波又起，一名病人家屬昨日公開投訴，指其79歲肝癌父親今年10月在瑪麗醫院住院留醫時，在病房內出現氣促、頭暈、抽筋等徵狀，兒子目睹父親漸漸失去知覺，急如熱鍋上的螞蟻，不停奔波向護士求救，「但護士只給他換尿片、量血壓，3 個鐘頭後才有實習醫生來！」結果，老翁搶救後不治。家屬質疑院方「冷血」延誤救治，又質問「是否認為我父親肝癌無得救，就救都不救？」院方則聲稱已經立刻救治，個案已交死因庭跟進。

喪父的羅先生說，79歲的父親於2005年確診患肝癌，入住瑪麗治療，出院後返黃大仙家中與家人同住，「他是抗癌勇士，一直好積極食藥治療，我們應該還有很多時間可以孝順他、盡兒子的責任，沒想有市民在明愛醫院正門病發不救，但有醫院在病房內病發也不救！」

他說，父親今年9月因剝掉兩顆牙後流血不止而住院兩天，及至10月6日，「父親突然抬不起手，我擔心他中風，於是飛的士去瑪麗。急症室醫生建議他入院，當晚住內科D6病房，排期到腦內科檢查。」出事後，有專科醫生分析其剖屍報告，認為羅父很可能是腦部出血導致半邊身麻痺。

子﹕護士稱醫生看新症沒空

羅先生說，翌日，「父親狀態不錯，妹妹還買了河粉給他吃，沒想到那是我們最後的天倫樂……」他說，他約於10月8日下午5時15分前往探病，發現父親開始嘔吐，於是通知護士。但他聲稱，「護士只說醫生已經為他檢驗腸胃，並開藥讓他服食，但無叫醫生來救人。」及至晚上6時，「父親更頭暈、大腿痛，我不停向護士通報病情，但她說醫生在看新症，沒空，只幫他換尿布，我妹妹忍不住立刻打電話投訴。」醫管局指當時護士檢查後認為病人穩定。

直至晚上約8時15分，「有一名見習醫生來到，發現父親嘴歪了，才發現他嚴重抽筋，情況危險。那醫生急到後頸通紅，喃喃自語一邊衝入電腦房，一邊說『不是這麼厲害吧，不是這麼厲害吧？』。」醫管局指羅父當時右半身癱瘓。

見習醫生搶救 事件轉介死因庭

8時50分後，羅心跳曾三度停頓，需接受心肺復蘇法救治，但延至10月9日凌晨零時14分，因心跳第四度停頓不治。醫管局稱，驗屍結果顯示羅患有嚴重的冠狀動脈心臟病、肝硬化、多重肝細胞癌和急性大腦梗塞，但沒腹內出血或內臟破穿現象，事件已轉介死因庭處理。

羅先生批評說﹕「明愛醫院有病人死在門口不救，但我父親躺在病房，我在3個小時內不停通報，病情一直惡化，我看覑父親慢慢枯死，一直無醫生來救她，醫院竟然回覆我說『及時救治』？我永遠都記得！好大折磨，香港醫學這麼進步，但那些醫護知不知道怎樣才算好醫護？」他聲言保留追究權利，協助他申訴的立法會議員馮檢基表示，希望院方能夠向事主詳細交代事件。

公立醫院一向係咁.
醫生一日巡兩次房, 有事既話, 護士會首先會睇下個病人既問題嚴唔嚴重, 有緊要野先會搵醫生.
呢個case, 好明顯係個護士覺得個病人冇野, 所以冇call 醫生. 咁個護士之後覺得個病人病情惡化, 之後就call 醫生黎.

小弟覺得就算有錢睇私家, 都唔會有一個醫生24小時睇住病人, 除非個病人比左好多錢啦.

仲有, 我覺得與其篤一個人既錯處, 不如欣賞下佢既優點.
小弟生為土生土長既香港人, 細細個便享用公共醫療服務, 說真的, 香港醫療支出咁少, 我覺得大部分既醫護人員都已經做得好好~

點解唔比多d 鼓勵佢地呢?
