Do you guys even know how foie gras are farmed? You probably don't want to eat them if you know how cruely the animals are treated.

It's hard after reading "In Defense of Food", "The Omnivore's Dilemma", "The 100-Mile Diet"...etc
These books are more on the health side (not much about animal rights). But I really try to avoid fast food, pre-package and pre-process food as much as I can. Buying local food if possible.

Food value in terms of portion/taste/price is not going to be that high, esp considering the fact that Chinese people want CHEAP Chinese food.

I like the environment. Gives a relatively unqiue and more modern experience to Chinese food. I don't like their fushion dishes or their 'western' dishes. But do appreciate the slight twist they sometimes give to re-interpret Chinese dishes, or at least put it in a different environment.

This is not like Wild Rice where it becomes a westerened/fushioned Chinese food. THese are still proper regular Chinese dishes. Smaller portion, not bad in taste, slightly high price but a relatively unique take on Chinese food, at least unique in the lower mainland. Don't expect wonders tho, this is just a twist so you don't have to suffer thru the same 海鮮酒家 experience again and again and again.

Just my stupid opinion... I really just eat and call it a day so....
