I was browsing randomly and found this site. I think the list may not be the most objective (not sure if they need to paid to get listed) But it will give you some idea of where to host a wedding other than at a church.

Try to take a look UBC Cecil Green. You can have outdoor wedding or on the patio (if rain), nice park, and staircase, house as the backdrop. Good for photo.
100 people should be ok. You don't have to get the food package I think just rental + basic coffee/tea package would be ok. But price is not cheap either.
I had my wedding in golf course.

The QE Pavillon doesn't look nice to me.. I went there in Feb when I was deciding on the ceremony venue.. I still have their price pkg if u needed..

i was hoping a civil ceremony will be more economical. besides, i'm not a big fan of the church. so i started to look into green/outdoor ideas...

oh oh, i believe i've looked into the ubc cecil green. it is indeed very very nice. but you are right, it is very expensive...

um um... i know i will sound very very cheap... but we are poor ma... i am hoping around $500-$600. if there's nothing around that range. then then..... may have to skip it all together...

umm~ the budget quite tight.. as for $500 - $600~~
so you gonna save the $$ for the dinner banquet?? Maybe you can choose to do the ceremony at the restaurant or hotel before the dinner banquet~
