Yeah...wedding is expensive la...I heard that cecil green is around $2000 for rental (not cocktail) now...
I had friends having ceremony in restaurant ...I think it's not bad idea. Can save quite a lot there.
Btw, the stanley park is around $2000
the good thing is I find it very pretty and elegant. They include a live pianist or your choice of a Harpist for $100 extra. You have a choice to let them cater after the ceremony - that way you can elimiate the night banquet and have the wedding finish by late afternoon as an option. You can stay inside if it rains or take beautiful pics outside at the stanley park blue lagoon just steps away. I liked the one stop for everything deal. Lord knows how much easier that is with the one stop shop!!!!!!! Budget wise, if you can save time and your guests from all the traveling, parking, decorating both chapel (it needs minmal decor coz it's so nice already) and banquet. It's actually cheaper!
I hired a flowerist who was so nice to create a fresh flower arch and set it right outside of the chapel for me to step out and take pictures with guests after! Her price was more than reasonable in even doing decorations and various bouquets!
Oh zuesel, the wedding venue looks very elegant ar!
I'd like to have harp in my wedding too. But it's too expensive la... So I end up having string quartet instead.
I originally considered Cecil Green (I have reserved the date), but then when my mom came visit, she doesn't like it. So I have the ceremony in golf course instead. The good thing about golf course is that they have ballroom (good for rainy day), and outdoor garden. Great for picture taking. With the finger food package and beverages (order enough beverages will waive the rental), it's about $35 per head + $1000 beverages (large ballroom) or $500 (smaller ballroom).
