Selling stuff out-of-town Selling, stuff

I put something on craigslist and some guy in the island called me and ask if i can send it to him. I have sold/bought stuffs on ebay and ebay/paypal will cover you if anything went wrong. Never done private out of town sale like this before and wonder if it is risky or not.

Anybody has done this before? What is the best way to do it?

Get him to send full payment first, preferably via PayPal. If he refuses, there will always be another local buyer.

ask him to deposit "cash" to your bank account first.  make sure you check with your bank that is cash.  if it is expensive stuff, get the insurance.  and keep the receipt.

it probably is a scam.  Even paypal the buyer can do a charge back.  I think it protects the buyer.   

The best might be to ask him to deposit to your account.
