The news said there was a social worker with the family before it happened.  Wonder if it was because they know the little girl cared too much about academic performances.

I think I understand how that little girl feel. I actually have a cousin like her in real life and I don't understand why being #1 is so important for them.

Often that's the only achievement they can cling on to - to show that their existence is unique and therefore worthy to live on.
