(Peter, this got nothing to do with anti-Mainland China or not but just a fact I observed.)

I do not know typical Chinese restaurant but I owned a food court restaurant before and for the public washroom got dirty so fast that sometimes the janitor is not fast enough to clean it.  I got to admit, few years ago, when I went to Public Market, the washroom was not as dirty.  I even saw some people from China (why I know? Because his tone sounds like he was from mainland China.) did some dirty thing inside a washroom.

一項最新調查發現，在大溫地區營運的大型連鎖速食店，在衛生表現方面可能有明顯差異。

加拿大電視台（CTV）這項調查，檢視菲沙衛生局（FHA）對其涵蓋大溫東部以至整個菲沙河谷的轄區，在過去三年內對餐廳衛生臨檢所發的違規檢舉；該等「關鍵檢舉」表示，若問題不及時解決，可能爆發經由食物傳染的疫情。

結果顯示，區內最大市占率的麥當勞（McDonald's）餐廳，每100次臨檢中有66次被發現違規，為各連鎖店之最；而同樣來自美國的另一大型國際連鎖速食店「漢堡王」（Burger King），則每100次臨檢中只違規13次，為各連鎖店中最低。區內所有餐廳的違規比率為每100次臨檢66次，也就是說麥當勞的違規率與整體的平均相若。

其他違規比率較高的速食連鎖店，計有「A&W漢堡」的65%、以及「冰雪皇后」（Dairy Queen）冰淇淋暨快餐店的56%等（詳見附表）。

調查並發現，區內逾8成的速食連鎖店在過去三年起碼接過一次違規檢舉。但菲沙衛生局健康保護主任沈堤姆（Tim Shum）強調，大部分餐廳在接到違規檢舉後都隨即對症下藥改善問題，因此大都是很好的餐廳，超過95%的餐廳獲低衛生風險評級。

最常見的問題，包括食物未冷藏、員工未適當洗手、設備未充分清潔等。

食物未有適當衛生處理，譬如未適當冷藏，或使用過了最佳食用期的食品，也可能影響食物的品質以至味道。譬於位於吉利華市勒克庫克道（Luckakuck Way）8800號路段的一家速食店，就被發現使用過期的牛奶，奶品有欠新鮮，滋味可能已受損。

there are always notes posted on the washroom wall:

who would have done that? not Japs, East Indians or Africans
