Haven't used any of this year's entertainment book, so decided to give this a try after checking the reviews which seems to have lots of good recommendation.
Our opinion:
Dinner bread was ordinary.
The Halibut cakes was yummy but the cucumber slaw was pretty blend.
I really liked the crab spinach salad. The dressing was nice. Went really well with the salad.
Seafood hotpot had lots of fresh seafood soaked in delicate broth with rice noodles. Only disappointment was the scallops were just very tiny tiny. This alone made what was supposed to be an exciting dish disappointing.
Chicken breast with morel mushrooms wasn't great. Chicken was dry and tasted not even as good as the baked chicken from Safeway. The morel mushroom sauce was tasty though.
The server never told us that my chicken comes with risotto which I really hated. It was too mushy and had way too much parmesan cheese.
Dessert was excellent! I give them 2 thumbs up for both the cheese cake and the panna cotta brulee.
The ambiance is very romantic.
I give this place overall, 3.5 / 5 (The dessert and ambiance wins majority of the score)
Depends on what you consider as expensive la. Just check the first 2 pics i've posted for pricing. Also, if you have an entertainment book, you get buy one get one free dinner up to $23 value, I think. Oh, the waitress was nice, she didn't stamp my coupon card so we can reuse the coupon.
