Pretty cool.  I heard about the construction from radio but didn't know it was done this [cool] way.  Basically they moved the whole bridge.

During construction of the new bridge, traffic will cross the Capilano River using the existing bridge on a temporary detour alignment just a few metres north of the current crossing. After the new bridge is completed and in service this winter, the old bridge will be removed and the area will be rehabilitated.
