I hope you didn't have to order any dish "mild" cos they don't taste right after being convert to "mild". That's the reason that I haven't returned. I don't want to be inconsiderate to ppl at dinner but I really don't want to order anything mild.
I like their dishes cos they don't have any cantonese style thick sauce nor any sweetness from surgar. I think "Xiang" cuisine is not supposed to be sweet at all. Also their spicy is different from Szechuan kind of spicy. (no  Szechuan peppercorn in Hunan dishes)

I re-read my post.... and found it very misleading
Last time, I went with a group of friends who love food, they refused to order mild even thought we couldn't handle some of the hot food. We had to keep drinking beer and cold soy milk while eating. LOL food was great.
We "assumed" that food won't taste right if ordered mild. But we didn't.
I haven't gone back cos I can't find another group who would do the same since.

You guys should not have tasted that dish at all. Just ask the waiter if they gave you the correct dish if you are not sure. You should apologize to the restaurant and to the other table.
