TransLink operating on holiday schedule on New Year's Day
That means less frequent service for those out partying

Be the first to Comment  0 Recommendation(s) VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - If you are planning to go out on New Year's Eve or Day, there are some changes to transit service to be aware of.

On December 31 -- the New Year's Eve -- SkyTrain will be running for one extra hour on all lines, with the last train leaving Waterfront Station for King George at 2:16 a.m.

There will be additional buses throughout the system running on weekday schedule as well.

But Drew Snider with TransLink says that will change on January 1 and people going out partying need to plan ahead. "Our transit service will be on the Sunday/ Holiday schedule, that means that basically there will be less frequency of buses, less frequency on SkyTrain."

He says transit service will be free of charge after 5 p.m. on Friday though.
