Two more charged in connection with alleged rape at Pitt Meadows rave
Charges have been laid against two more people in connection with the rape of a teenage girl at a Pitt Meadows rave in September.
Colton Ashton McMorris and Dennis John Allen Warrington were charged in Port Coquitlam Provincial Court Tuesday.
McMorris has been charged with sexual assault. Warrington has been chargd with making/publishing/possessing child pornography for the purpose of publishing and making available, distributing or possessing child pornography for distribution.
About a dozen people are believed to have watched the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl, which took place at a rave in Pitt Meadows on Sept. 10 and 11.
Photos of the assault were then posted Facebook.
Mounties said at the time that they believed the girl may have been drugged.
A 16-year-old Maple Ridge boy was charged shortly after the incident with producing and distributing child pornography after allegedly taking photos of the assault and posting them online. The boy cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
McMorris was initially arrested by Ridge Meadows RCMP on Sept. 16 and released. Police later announced they were going to recommend a sexual assault charge against the Maple Ridge man and a child-porn charge against another adult male, Warrington, although they didn’t release the suspects’ names at the time. McMorris was 18 years old at the time.
McMorris and Warrington are scheduled to appear in court next on Jan. 12. |
