Forklift operator killed in Burnaby

Be the first to Comment 6 Recommendation(s) BURNABY (NEWS1130) - One man is dead after an accident at a decommissioned warehouse in Burnaby this morning.
It happened around 9:30 o'clock at the Summit Logistics warehouse on 11th Avenue near 18th Street.
Scott McCloy with WorkSafeBC says two forklift operators were lifting a piece of equipment when something went wrong. "In the process of lifting that piece of equipment, [it] shifted. It forced one of the forklifts to spin around and topple over, and in the process of toppling over, one of the forklift operators was crushed."
The identity of the man has not been revealed. WorkSafeBC is investigating.
