Happened to me too but started 2 years ago.  I also have a single house in Burnaby.  I ended up switching to different insurance company.  Cheaper but still 8-10% year over year increase.

You can also have your agent to give you quotes on other underwriters too, but it takes time and your agent might not quote for you.
